About Marwan Wahbi

Marwan Wahbi Marwan Wahbi has more than eighteen years of experience in the field of marketing, sales, and management in the healthcare industry in Lebanon and the Middle East working with multinational corporations. Marwan has pervasive skills and knowledge and has been consistently rewarded with promotions and increases in responsibilities as direct results of hard work, high expertise, and commitment to personal and professional excellence.

Marwan started his career as a medical representative in GEROT Pharmaceuticals (Austria); then, he joined MSD (Merck & Co., USA) where he grew up to become the Franchise Manager for its cardiovascular unit in Lebanon. He then moved to Bayer Schering Pharma and became the Area Field Manager for its anti-infective line covering all Lebanon as part of the Levant area. Marwan then joined SAJA Pharmaceuticals (a partner with Astellas Pharma Inc., & Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., Japan) as a Lebanon Sales Manager with the mission of establishing its robust business in Lebanon & building strong and professional relationships with healthcare professionals that are based on evidence-based medicine and mutual respect.

Also, Marwan has almost twelve years of experience in academia and higher education. He has been a part-time faculty member at highly reputable universities in Lebanon that have active programs in Business Administration. It is his goal to combine his wide range of industry experience with his ability to be a compassionate, professional, and intelligent professor merging theory and real-world practice to serve students better and instill a life-long love of learning.

Marwan Wahbi is currently a full-time assistant professor member at the College of Business Administration at Rafik Hariri University and a former faculty member at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Haigazian University, Beirut, Lebanon.  He teaches Marketing, sales, and Advertising. He has earned his doctorate from Grenoble Ecole De Management, France. Marwan’s research focuses on strategic marketing and consumer behavior, in particular, consumer ethnocentrism among healthcare professionals in Lebanon and the Middle East region.

Marwan Wahbi also works as a freelance professional trainer and business consultant for many well-established institutions in Lebanon and the Middle East region. He plans and instructs each subject area using a wide variety of coaching and training aids together with motivational and implementation strategies to engage professionals in active learning and real-life application. Marwan’s technique is to incorporate new learning principles into workshop and seminar instructions, develop and conduct interactive activities, and utilize team spirit in an energetic and interactive environment.

Marwan is an excellent communicator, dynamic, highly personable, and a skilled speaker with high energy and passion. His hobbies are blogging, reading business and professional books, technology, listening to music, soccer, and swimming. Marwan currently lives in Lebanon.
